Tightening dial.
The adjustment wheel plays a key role in keeping your child's helmet secure. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with skiing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.
ABS structure.
Standard EN 1077:2007 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resistance to penetration. There are 2 categories:
- Class A: protects the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and the side of the head.
- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.
How to choose the right size and trying the helmet on your child
Measure the circumference of your child’s head (from the middle of their forehead to the top of their ears) and choose the right size. When trying on the helmet, they should not feel any discomfort. If the helmet does not have a visor, try it on with a pair of goggles: There should be no gaps between the two.
Adjust the helmet once you have the right size.

- The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening dial.
- The chin strap must be correctly adjusted. Your child should be able to fit two fingers between the strap and their skin. If the helmet is poorly fitted, it will provide less protection.”
Compatibility with prescription glasses.
The pleasure of skiing should be accessible to all, including young wearers of prescription glasses. Wedze has designed a helmet with a visor, more practical to use than an "over glasses (OTG)" ski mask. Due to issues with glasses size, some models remain incompatible. Head to your Decathlon store to try helmets on your child with their glasses.
Special features of the visor helmet.
Visor helmets are extremely comfortable and practical to use. However, we recommend them for young skiers who ski at moderate speed. They are less windproof than a ski mask, which perfectly moulds to the nose and face. If your child skis very fast, air can get in and it can be unpleasant.

Changing the visor.
The original S2 visor is available for purchase from our website. There is no S1 visor (for bad weather) available for this helmet.
A helmet keeps you warm: it is not necessary, and even discouraged, to wear a hat underneath.
"Do not let your child wear a hat with their helmet, as this will create a gap between your child’s head and their helmet and reduce their protection. If necessary, opt for a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose.
Avoid putting a camera on the helmet, as this will compromise your child’s safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet. "
