We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain and snow. Insulation is made from 100 g/m² wadding on the body and arms. The fleece-lined hood also lets you keep your head well protected and warm. The elastic tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable.

To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle: layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry. layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards. layer 3: The jacket protects you from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.

Two lined pockets to keep all your accessories to hand (tissues, keys, telephone, etc.) when hiking as well as a secured pocket that closes with rip-tab inside.

We have improved this product with an eco-design approach. The wadding and the outer fabric are made from recycled polyester guaranteeing effective product use. For the inner fleece or inner pockets, we have opted for mass pigmentation integrating the colour pigments from the initial thread manufacture which reduces water consumption.

Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the elastic tightening at the cuffs and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.

Jacket designed with sufficient volume inside so that a warm second layer such as fleece or light down can be worn. Its classic cut is ideal for protecting you from the cold and wind during your winter hikes on all types of terrains.

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²0 (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket has a waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 5,000 mm H²O (Schmerbers) before washing.

A fabric\'s water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric\'s exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment\'s lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

The waterproofness of a jacket isn’t limited to just its components: the assembly technique of the different parts is also an evaluation criterion. Whether heat-sealed or sewn then waterproofed, the overall waterproofness of your jacket is measured using a shower test developed by Decathlon, which simulates rain of different intensities. As such, this waterproof jacket protects you from light rain, i.e. 3 cm of rain in 30 minutes.
