Chest: Wrap a tape measure around your back and measure the fullest part of your chest. Make sure it's straight and parallel to the floor. Look straight ahead, tighten the tape and breathe normally.

Waist: Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button. Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.

Hand: Hold a tape measure at the bend of the thumb. Wrap around your palm.

HOW TO MEASURE:

Height:Stand against a wall, barefoot or in socks, heels pasted to the wall. Stand right, then hold a book or flat object on the top of your head. Block the book, mark the bottom edge of the book. Measure the distance from the floor to the mark.

Head:Wrap a tape measure around your head, above your eyebrows. Make sure it is parallel to the floor when your head is straight.

Hand:Hold a tape measure at the bend of the thumb. Wrap around your palm.

Our design teams have developed these swim shorts/boardshorts for intermediate surfers from 7 to 15 years.

What is the OLAIAN brand?

OLAIAN, DECATHLON'S SURFING BRAND Based in Hendaye, in South West France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's surfing brand. In our offices at the water's edge, we can design a pair of boardshorts and then on the same day go surfing and test them to check that they stay in place in the waves, are comfortable and durable.

Quick drying

For their comfort, children need to get dry quickly. That is why these boardshorts are designed to allow rapid drainage of water (eyelet in the side pocket). The component has thus been given a water repellent treatment which prevents the fabric from retaining water and helps it to run off. This treatment, which can deteriorate after repeated washing, can be reactivated at any time by tumble drying the garment.

Waistband type

The semi-elasticated waistband of these boardshorts provides precise adjustment at the kid's waist. It keeps the shorts in place when surfing and prevents them from moving too much during manoeuvres.
